V★Silver: A grunge heart in a disco ball — ’80s prism dreams through a ’90s VHS lens, built for today and the future.
Side A of V★Silver’s self-produced EP, The Cost of Light (with the exception of “Chasing Magic,” co-produced and mixed by Grammy-nominated Justin Hergett), is the first installment of a two-part project.
The Cost of Light represents the brighter, pop-facing half of the album, exploring themes of empowerment, courage, beauty, ambition, and emotional connection, while also wrestling with the sacrifices required to evolve and live fully in the light. Sonically, the six-track EP blends ’80s anthemic pop, dream pop, and alternative synths and guitars with modern pop production, and includes the reflective closer “Ghost of You.”
Together with its forthcoming, more raw, alternative acoustic-driven companion EP, Side B: Everything I Couldn’t Say, the two releases complete a full album built around dual truths — light and shadow, empowerment and vulnerability, shimmer and bare-souled honesty.
